California Democratic Party

There are more than 7.5 million registered Democrats in California. The California Democratic Party (Democratic State Central Committee / DSCC) is the governing body for Democrats in California, made up of approximately 3,300 delegates from across the state.

In California, Democratic policy solutions have delivered a balanced budget, stopped the cuts to education and expanded access to affordable health care for families.

Democrats are fighting global warming, increasing investment in renewable energy sources and working to keep college affordable for the middle class.

We believe schools and local public safety are important priorities that must be protected.

Democrats know that our state works best when all Californians are given the same opportunity to succeed, no matter their race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
