Growing Food o increasing the amount of affordable healthy food in the Pittsburgh region o increasing the amount of land dedicated to sustainable food production o increasing food security in low income communities o involving school children in the production of healthy food and teaching the value of nutrition

Growing Farmers o providing hands-on, experiential agriculture training to community residents o building a professional network of support for the production, distribution, and marketing of fresh, local produce o promoting urban agriculture as an attractive, viable career option

Growing Community o promoting awareness of fresh local food, nutrition and sustainable living o involving community residents in the development of urban farm enterprises o developing partnerships with community stakeholders and organizations o promoting community empowerment and anti-racist philosophy in every project o improving biodiversity and environmental quality of our neighborhoods

Growing Capacity o developing projects that attract and maintain diverse interests o creating a strong and economically sustainable organization o providing technical assistance and support to other local farm initiatives o maintaining a supportive environment for the local growing community
