Per is a cultural non profit organization devoted to promote a more open and free access to documentary works in order to foster civic engagement, build social capital and enhance community participation.

Per aims at researching, collecting and sharing under Creative Commons licensing documentary works - including films, audio documentaries, photographic and narrative reportages, as well as audiovisual documentation of performing arts based on reality - that convey a more authentic and non stereotyped portray of Italy.

Per also aims at developing a network of community actors, civil society organizations and institutions that actively use these materials for workshops, trainings and participatory screenings/listening events to foster their impact and increase their outreach.

Finally, Per promotes innovative strategies to increase the public for cross media documentary works and develops participatory approaches to production and distribution in order to support and increase the social value of knowledge and cultural work.
