The mission of the Coquille Watershed Association is to work collaboratively with communities and landowners to develop and implement voluntary watershed restoration, enhancement, and community engagement activities that promote healthy and resilient ecosystems and economies in the Coquille watershed.
We work with all land owners in the watershed to implement voluntary restoration projects that enhance the working landscapes and habitats for fish and wildlife. Our projects include: fish habitat and passage improvement, noxious weed control, riparian restoration, water quality improvement projects such as road drainage improvement and decommissioning.
We also conduct monitoring and assessment activities to evaluate current water quality and habitat conditions that will inform the development of future restoration projects. Additionally, we evaluate the effectiveness of restoration projects to inform future planning.
Lastly, we conduct outreach and education initiatives throughout the watershed aimed at promoting watershed science and stewardship and to inform community members like you about our work and how to get involved!
