Lighthouse of Oakland County, Inc. began 43 years ago as an ecumenical ministry to help low-income individuals and families in need. It has evolved into an independent non-profit agency providing a full range of human services that move people from poverty and crisis to independence and self-sufficiency. Lighthouse works in collaboration with churches, community organizations, businesses and individuals to provide a continuum of quality programs and services. Lighthouse and its program subsidiaries, Lighthouse Emergency Services, Lighthouse PATH, and Lighthouse Community Development.are volunteer-based organizations.
