Sobre Nós

ERCPCP is a faith-based organization whose work is directed towards at risk and high-risk youth in Wards 7 and 8. This is an opportunity to interface with various clergy, community-based organizations and officials of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) as ERCPCP strives to help those who have become victims of the social ills in our communities.

The mission of ERCPCP is intended to reach, assist, and transform young people, especially those whose lives have been affected or influenced by drugs, crime and violence. Through a collaboration of clergy, police and community we aim to improve the spiritual and personal development of young people and build a system of community support that enhances service delivery and creates healthy and safe neighborhoods.

Currently, ERCPCP has school-based programming where we host an in-school suspension program at a local senior high school and put on two gender specific school-based conferences; community-based programming where we work with young people in the Benning Terrace, Washington Highlands and Woodland Terrace public housing communities, a mentoring program providing mentors to youth with an incarcerated parent and a workforce development program developing and enhancing life, work and employment skills among youth; and Re-Entry programming to include a faith-based transitional housing program, and an independent living program providing affordable housing to re-entrants and low-income residents. Most recently, ERCPCP has been awarded a grant by the DC Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) and the DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation (Trust) to serve as the Region I Lead Entity to Establish Regional Service Coalitions.
