University Center of Lake County

The University Center, a consortium-based center, provides high quality educational opportunities for the residents, workers, and employers of the Lake County (IL) region.

The University Center is comprised of 8 public and 10 private institutions providing bachelor completion, graduate, and advanced professional development programs at multiple sites to those who work or reside in or near Lake County.

More than 130 degrees, certificates, and professional development courses are offered in business, computer science/information systems, education, engineering, GIS/location intelligence, health care and human services, legal studies, liberal arts and sciences, and technology.

Students apply to and graduate from an individual college or university offering fully-accredited degrees; academic standards and quality are rigorously maintained by the faculty of each college or university.

Classes are scheduled in a variety of delivery formats that appeal to adult learners: evenings and weekends, face-to-face, online, blended, and interactive video.  This schedule enables the University Center's Grayslake facility to double as a conference center to address workforce development needs for high-quality, technology-enhanced meeting space.
