Siddhartha Public Academy

Sister school to Rising Rays Boarding School, Siddhartha is located in the Bagbazaar neighborhood near Putali Sadak. Children who attend this school are mostly the sons or daughters of local migrant workers. Most are from an economically disadvantaged background and many of the students at the school receive at least partial scholarships. Empower Nepali Girls, a local n.g.o., has obtained foreign sponsors for some of the female students. The school is advised by Dhane Blue, an American expat who has settled in Kathmandu. The school reinvests all of its earnings into providing additional services to the neighborhood's most needy students.
