VIOL-SECOURS, rape crisis center

We are a non-profit organization since 1976 offering emergency psychological help and coordinating forensic exams for sexual assault victims and sexually abused children in the Metropolitan Quebec City region. We also offer short, mid or long term individual and group counselling to female victims of all ages and their relatives. We offer prevention sessions in high schools, colleges and universities. We train doctors and police personnel in victim approach and forensic evidence exams. We advocate for a better understanding of rape and abuse victims by the judicial system and are currently leading an intersectorial committee to promote a better coordination of the differents services offered to the victims in our area.
