Association of Asian Advanced Care Providers

Association of Asian Advanced Care Providers is a non-profit organization that aims to provide higher quality and availability of health-care to Asians by:

• Providing health screenings relevant to the most prevalent diseases for the Asian population

• Offering medical education to the public and advanced care professionals

• Representing and promoting the advanced care profession and community

The Association of Asian Advanced Care Provider (AAACP) established on February 15th 2012, is a non-profit organization that aims to provide a higher quality and availability of health-care at the interest of Asian Pacific population through the promotion of the advanced care profession. AAACP was founded by a physician assistant in primary care who serves the Brooklyn Asian community. Throughout his career, he and his fellow colleagues noticed how under serve Asians was in the healthcare system. There was a disproportion between the numbers of physician to patient ratio. There were health disparity problems such as language and culture. But most of all, it was the lack of understanding and inadequate representation of the advanced care profession that indirectly affects the care of Asians. In the search for a solution, a group of medical and business associates united together voluntarily, in the effort to help serve the needs of Asians. Through proper preventive care education, health screening and promotion of the advanced care profession, more Asians will be cared for. Together, we can help detect diseases at its earliest stage. Ultimately this will decrease the cost, hospitalization rate, length of stay and morbidity and mortality.
