Missão
NAMI Knoxville's mission is to provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. This is aligned with the broader mission of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mental illness through grassroots efforts focused on ensuring access to services, treatment, supports, and research.

NAMI Knoxville is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which was founded in 1979. The Knoxville chapter, like other local affiliates, was established to address the specific needs of the community in Knoxville, Tennessee. Over the years, NAMI Knoxville has grown to become a significant resource for individuals and families affected by mental illness, providing a variety of programs and support services.
