The Mid-Atlantic Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association (MACOORA) is one of eleven regional associations in the United States focused on ocean observing. Our region extends from Cape Hatteras to Cape Cod and includes all the estuaries and the continental shelf waters. Nearly 25% of the nation's population lives next to the MACOORA ocean region.
