The Office of Student Involvement at the University of Central Florida currently runs an AmeriCorps VISTA program focusing on addressing poverty needs in Central Florida. Our mission is to assist low-income communities, foster economic development, improve health services and fight illiteracy with the help of VISTA members. We have partnered with various organizations to place VISTA Leaders and VISTA members at several Central Florida locations, where VISTAs will build capacity for this organizations for a period of one year.
