The Hearts on Fire Movement identifies and showcases some of the most inspirational and committed individuals working to change the world for the better. It was launched following the release of the nonfiction book Hearts on Fire: Stories of Today’s Visionaries Igniting Idealism into Action by Jill Iscol, Ed.D and Peter Cookson. The mission of Hearts on Fire is to inspire people of all walks of life to join the social change movement by telling the stories of today's visionaries and creating a community of like-minded individuals. Hummingbird Projects is a subsidiary of the IF Hummingbird Foundation, a family foundation established in 1989 to support domestic and international efforts to strengthen democracy and reduce the social, economic, and educational inequities that threaten it. Hearts on Fire is a Hummingbird Project.
