Missão
Our volunteers strive to foster independence, dignity and well-being for Alameda's homebound neighbors who can benefit from friendship, communication and a caring heart.
Sobre Nós
Volunteers are matched with interested homebound folks of all ages. We offer a weekly visit of one to two hours with a focus on friendship and well-being of our recipients. Telephone reassurance is often provided as a way of checking in between visits.
Volunteers are given a background check to insure safety of our recipients, and as a way to protect our volunteers.
Training is provided for volunteers as well as quarterly meetings providing enrichment and opportunities to meet and resource other volunteers.
