City of Lakes AmeriCorps is the oldest AmeriCorps National Service program in the Twin Cities. For 20 years our members have worked on the front lines in education and youth development. Members serve in middle schools throughout the Minneapolis Public School district as academic coaches and after school youth workers. We take great pride in offering members the opportunity to become positive, caring adult role models for youth in our community. Our ability to impact the literacy needs of our students depends on the one-on-one relationships members build with their students and is at the heart of all that we do.
