The Avenue Concept

The Avenue Concept (TAC) is a nonprofit organization focused on producing dynamic and high-quality public art experiences that connect people to their community. We fund and support public art. We create public art encounters. We promote public art and artists and contribute to public art policies and programs.

Founded in 2012, TAC has served as a leader in building Providence’s growing reputation as a vibrant public art city with more than 40 murals and sculptures currently on view throughout the city and beyond. The Avenue Concept has curated and installed some of the most recognizable public art in Providence. We facilitate murals, and sculptures, and create temporary public art encounters. We have produced more than 200 artworks and experiences in partnership with artists, partners, and supporters, dramatically changing the look, feel, and engagement with the Providence cityscape and our portfolio extends throughout the state.
