Foundation for the Advancement of Minimally Invasive Surgery

Foundation for the Advancement of Minimally Invasive Surgery ("FAMIS") is a New York 501(c)(3) organization that strives to improve patient care by supporting education and research in minimally invasive surgery. FAMIS' mission is to cure disease with the least pain and suffering possible by researching and developing technologies that advance this goal. Although the minimally invasive approach can be applied to any disease process, FAMIS' primary focus has been the minimally invasive management of cancer, kidney stones, and pain reduction in surgery.
