The formal objectives of The Swallows Foundation SA are:

“To preserve, promote and develop arts and culture in the Republic of South Africa and in the Eastern Cape in particular, through, but not limited to, cultural exchange programmes, teaching and training, commissions, exhibitions and productions and the organisation of arts and culture festivals”
