Justice Tourism Foundation

Justice Tourism Foundation works with communities, companies, governments and organizations to create a better path forward linking tourism to conservation, cultural heritage, and sustainable rural development to enhance livelihoods and enrich Uganda’s tourism product.

We believe travel has the unique ability to strengthen economies and improve the quality of life in communities all over the world. We aim to change lives by working from a grassroots level to address community identified needs, through a simple, yet effective method of reallocating funds from the tourism industry back into community initiatives such as improving access to clean, safe drinking water, Sanitation and hygiene interventions, improving access to primary health care, renewable energy, environmental conservation other community development services to impoverished rural communities in Uganda.

Our vision is of a world where tourism brings greater benefits for local communities and their participation in terms of job creation, poverty reduction and environmental management.

Our Mission

The mission of Justice Tourism Foundation is to build a global community of impact-minded (conscious) travelers who want to move beyond traditional tourism to engage in genuine cross-cultural connection and learning opportunities - inspiring compassion towards fellow human beings.

We have strong responsible tourism values, and believe that travel should always benefit the local community and as a result most of our tours directly finance grass-root development projects initiatives in rural Uganda, providing sustainable clean water for rural communities, education, Primary health Care and women and youth empowerment projects for disadvantaged women and young people.
