Our aim is to serve as both stewards and catalysts of that potential—nurturing and enhancing vital community assets while also cultivating and advancing the breakthrough ideas that will shape our collective future.
Founded in 1997, Barr is an endowed, private foundation. From our home in Boston we support regional efforts, with targeted national engagement, in three program areas: Arts & Culture, Climate, and Education. We are also concluding a Global program in 2015.
