littleGIANTS

littleGIANTS is a nonprofit organisation that offers children with exceptional skills, between the ages of 4 to 17, an integral after-school educational experience (complementary to their school education). littleGIANTS seeks to empower them to become active citizens and act as agents of change for their communities; to make the world a better place.

Since March 2003, littleGIANTS has been working with highly marginalised children in Guatemala, empowering them to pursue opportunities that would otherwise be far beyond their reach and instilling them with skills, values and qualities in order to have a strong and lasting impact to society. We currently have two operational centers in Guatemala (Guatemala City - Zona 12 and Panajachel), one in Athens, Greece and looking at expanding.

Besides supporting them in their school studies, we build their self-esteem, develop their different types of intelligence, instill values, morals, good behavior, develop their different types of intelligence, we provide English, music and art classes, offer psycho-social and emotional support and we share cultural and recreational activities as well as provide them with nutritional meals and health services.

We teach them to dream. Great dreams but at the same time attainable through hard work and dedication. For it is through education that they will be able to face their reality, accept it and obtain the means to change it for a better future. One of our goals is for every one of our kids to continue their studies until graduating from university.

At littleGIANTS, we aim to make the difference by unchaining dreams, unleashing potential and creating options.

Somos una organización sin fines de lucro. Nuestro proyecto actualmente incluye 53 niños de 4 a 13 años, que viven en extrema pobreza y en un sector de alta delincuencia.

La Fundación provee un programa donde los niños asisten después de sus escuelas encontrando EDUCACIÓN en el sentido amplio de la palabra.

Además de reforzar las materias escolares, trabajamos su autoestima, reforzamos valores, modales y buena conducta, desarrollamos sus diferentes inteligencias, impartimos clases de inglés, música y arte, brindamos apoyo psicopedagógico y emocional, participamos juntos en actividades culturales y recreativas y facilitamos atención médica y nutricional en general. 

Les enseñamos a soñar. Sueños grandes sin embargo alcanzables con trabajo y dedicación. Es a través de la educación que podrán enfrentarse a su realidad, aceptarla y tener las herramientas para cambiarla y así alcanzar un mejor futuro. Una de nuestras metas es que todos continúen sus estudios hasta terminar la universidad
