About EMBARQ India
EMBARQ India is a member of the EMBARQ network, which works together with local transport authorities to reduce pollution, improve public health, and create safe, accessible and attractive urban public spaces. The network employs more than 100 experts in fields ranging from architecture to air quality management; geography to journalism; and sociology to civil and transport engineering.
EMBARQ India started activities in 2006 in Mumbai and has since then expanded to the cities of Bangalore and Delhi, working with Indian authorities to catalyze and help implement solutions to the problems of urban mobility.
About EMBARQ
EMBARQ is the sustainable urban transport and planning program at the World Resources Institute. The EMBARQ global network catalyzes environmentally and financially sustainable transport solutions to improve quality of life in cities. Since its founding in 2002, the network has developed local offices in China, Brazil, India, Mexico, Turkey and the Andean Region, which are focused on implementing concrete changes to improve mobility in many of the world’s most important cities, in coordination with a Washington, D.C.-based team of distinguished experts. By focusing on transport, which affects everything from prosperity to pollution, EMBARQ seeks to generate significant social, environmental and economic benefits in the cities and communities where it works.
