Plugged In Band Program

Plugged In Band Program is a unique nonprofit music education community in Needham, MA for students youth through adult. Plugged In offers band classes, private music lessons, media scoring and many performance opportunities. Students perform in end-of-session community-wide benefit concerts that raise money for causes and organizations chosen by the students themselves.

Since 2002, Plugged In’s approach has been to educate and celebrate performers at all stages of their music-making journeys and our position on inclusion, diversity, equity is that music classes should be open to everyone regardless of disability or ability to pay.

Like our band classes, Plugged in is a cooperative and collaborative work environment. Plugged In’s full-time staff is small and our skilled volunteers make up an integral part of our business. Plugged In is the first nonprofit in Metrowest to be certified by Points of Light as a Service Enterprise! A Service Enterprise is an organization that fundamentally leverages volunteers and their skills throughout their organization to successfully deliver on its social mission.
