NEW CONNECTIONS MISSION STATEMENT:

New Connections is a nonprofit multi-faith organization which supports the transition of women from prison into society as productive members.

NEW CONNECTIONS PURPOSE:

New Connections operates Irma Gary House to supply safe, sober and structured transitional housing to women released from the Washington State Corrections facilities to provide them with the environment and access to services they require to build stable, successful lives.

New Connections operates a rent subsidy program for recently released ex-offenders to improve their chance for successful re-integration into the community. Because homeless ex-offenders re-offend at twice the rate of those with stable housing, the rent subsidy program reduces the likelihood that clients will re-offend.
