I-AM SHAKTI
Missão
I-AM SHAKTI is a social movement to embrace all brown minds. We will sensitize Indian-American (+) communities to mental health challenges and provide hope and support to those affected.
Our symbol is the Phoenix, conveying hope, power, and revival. The (+) denotes that our movement is intersectional and all-inclusive. We work to improve society for any and all people who identify as Indian or Indian-American, anyone who identifies as Desi, and anyone who is South Asian. We welcome anyone from any part of anywhere who wishes to join our vision for a better world.
Sobre Nós
We'd like to build awareness of mental health in Indian-American(+) communities and provide a network of support for people of all ages who are going through a mental health challenge. Our current goal is to build a beautiful and efficient website that can not only explain our movement, but also provide a blog-like space to share stories/artwork/songs/videos/photography/etc. of those who wish to share their story online. iamshakti.org is our current website, and we'd like to improve upon it.
