VentureWell is on a mission to cultivate a pipeline of inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs driven to solve the world’s biggest challenges and to create lasting impact. We foster collaboration among the best minds from research labs, classrooms, and beyond to advance innovation and entrepreneurship education and to provide unique opportunities for STEM students and researchers to fully realize their potential to improve the world.
Since our founding in 1995, we’ve funded and trained over 2,000 teams of science and technology inventors and innovators, and nurtured thousands of their startups reaching millions of people in over 50 countries with ground-breaking technological advancements in fields such as biomedicine and healthcare, sustainable energy and materials, and solutions for low-resource settings. We also work with faculty and administration who are on the front lines of transforming post-secondary education so that it helps students to realize their full potential. Our faculty-centered initiatives are focused on continuous improvement, network-enabled change, and communities of practice.
Founded with support from the Lemelson Foundation, VentureWell also receives substantial funding from the National Science Foundation, the United States Agency for International Development, and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. We are a growing organization with an annual budget of $17+ million dollars.
VentureWell is located in the beautiful Pioneer Valley/Five College area in Western Massachusetts. We offer competitive pay and generous benefits including insurance, paid time off, and retirement.
