Sobre Nós

The Greenburgh Public Library provides library service to the 41,828 residents of the unincorporated Town of Greenburgh, which includes portions of Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, Irvington and Tarrytown. The Library is chartered by the Board of Regents of the New York State Education Department.

In December 2006, the Library began a renovation and expansion project which will result in doubling the old building’s size and offering an array of enhanced services, collections and programs. We are currently providing full library service at the Greenburgh Town Hall and the Multipurpose Center in Anthony Veteran Park. The Library has expanded its hours and Cybermobile service to continue to effectively serve patrons during the renovation and expansion period, which may take up to two years to complete.

The Library’s previous facility opened in 1969 and had a collection of 186,000 items, including books, periodicals, CDs, CD-ROMS, DVDs, Audio books and videos.

The Greenburgh Public Library is the fifth largest member of the Westchester Library System and consistently has one of the highest circulations in Westchester County.
