The purpose of the Early Music Foundation (EMF) is to enhance public knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of music and music-drama from the 11th through the 18th centuries. EMF seeks to accomplish its mission through the presentation of historically informed performances of the highest artistic quality and scholarship, the preservation of this repertory through recording and other media, and the provision of administrative services to other performing ensembles.
