In order to deal with all the issues associated with poverty that the children in Jaunpur are grappling with, we endeavor to provide our children not only with a world class education, but also to address their nutritional, hygienic and health care needs. In effect, the Garhwal English Medium School aims to take children from nursery to class 12 and equip them with all the necessary skills and tools, putting them on equal footing to compete with their better off counterparts for higher education and careers. GEMS is supported by the Garhwal Organization for Uplifting the Needy (GOUN)
