Council for a Community of Democracies

CCD was founded in 2000 as the leading advocate of the Community of Democracies - a group of 106 nations that met that same year in Poland, and signed the Warsaw Declaration committing each nation to the furthering of democratic principles. CCD's mission is to support the CD movement and strengthen collaboration among governments and NGOs seeking to advance democratic ideals and promote the spread of democracy around the world.
