VISION

At Thanksgiving and during the Christmas holiday season, homeless and needy families receive an abundance of support to assist them in having a joyful holiday season. However, during the other ten months of the year, these families are still in financial crisis.

CML's Vision is to bring Joy to families, in need, all year long....

It is true that food, clothing and shelter are the physical necessities of life. It is also true that the human spirit needs to be nourished and replenished to maintain the coping mechanisms, necessary to deal with challenges of life.

There are millions of working parents, throughout the nation, whose incomes are significantly inadequate in meeting their daily living expenses. These moms and dads struggle on a daily basis, in their efforts to provide for their families, due to job loss, low-paying jobs, major illness in family, natural disasters, etc.

Cherished Memories For A Lifetime (CML), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit exempt organization, was founded to enhance the quality of life of homeless and needy children and families, throughout the nation, and to enhance the services of those organizations providing critical needs to homeless and needy children and families.

Although monetary gifts and fun activities don't solve these families' financial situations, we feel that they provide a needed reprieve from their day to day worries and struggles (even if just for one hour or one day). It is our belief that a gift from CML will bring months of the make their lives more complete, give Hope, and Inspire families to continue teh struggle.

CML provides monetary gifts, for daily living expenses; gifts of celebrations (kid-themed b/day parties, holiday meals, family gatherings, etc.); gifts of fun family activities (theme parks, sporting events, museums, movies, cultural events, etc.); gifts of stress-relief escapes (spa, concerts, cooking classes, overnight getaways/retreats, etc.); gifts of purposeful travel (home for the holidays, college tours, etc.)

Gifts are distributed to: 1) families 2) homeless shelters, 3) transitional housing shelters, 4) organizations providing critical needs to homeless and needy children/families and 5) housing complexes, neighborhood churches, neighborhood community centers and day care centers/schools located in low-income communities

We use the word gifts, rather than assistance, because these families are given gifts to reward their efforts in coping with overwhelming financial challenges, on a daily basis.
