Sobre Nós

Opened in 1897, Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Connecticut is a City park listed on the National Register of Historic Places and home to the nation's oldest municipal rose garden.  The park has numerous display gardens (bulb, annual, perennial, shade, heritage rose, medicine, dahlia, herb and iris), specimen trees, historic greenhouses and acres of green space for rest and recreation.  Welcoming over half a million annual visitors from around the country and the world, the park is open daily and is free to all.

Founded in 1977 by a group of concerned citizens who came together to save and restore the rose garden, Elizabeth Park Conservancy works with the City of Hartford to maintain, preserve and promote the park as local, regional and national treasure.  We do this through fundraising and by providing volunteers to care for the gardens.
