Mission. Leadership Preparatory Charter School provides K-8 students with the academic and character foundation necessary to excel in high school, graduate from college, and lead in their communities.

VISION.  Demographics should not determine one’s destiny.  At Leadership Preparatory Charter School (“Leadership Prep”), hard work, coupled with a strong educational foundation, will ensure that all students are able to excel in high school, graduate from college, and lead in their communities, thereby dismantling the cycles of generational poverty into which many students are born.  We provide high expectations, clear structures, and targeted supports, so that all students can achieve school success and are in a position to fully determine their life’s trajectory. We are committed to closing the achievement gap by offering a quality K-8 education, focused on college readiness and excellent character development for some of the most underserved students in Shelby County Schools.
