The American River Parkway is a natural treasure, unique to the Sacramento area. Think about it - 23 miles long, covering about 5,000 acres, right in the center of our urban area! The Parkway Foundation is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation founded in 1983. We are funded by contributions from individuals, businesses and other organizations, grants, memberships, and fundraising events.
