Friends of San Quentin News is a non-profit organization affiliated with the San Quentin News dedicated to charitable fundraising and support. The San Quentin News is a full-fledged monthly newspaper produced by inmates within San Quentin State Prison. Its mission is to positively impact rehabilitation and re-entry of California's 120,000 inmate population and to improve the criminal justice system by humanizing the incarcerated and by illustrating the consequences of current criminal justice policies.
