Victim Support Services

Our Mission is to support victims of crime through advocacy, education and awareness. Families and Friends of Violent Crime Victims dba Victim Support Services (VSS) was founded in 1975 to examine the criminal justice system, give assistance to the families and friends of victims and educate the public of the impact of violent crimes on society. VSS is the oldest victim assistance organization in Washington State, and one of the nation’s first. VSS supports and advocates for victims of crime, loved ones of homicide victims, and the families of missing persons. All of our services are free and confidential. VSS is funded through volunteer hours, public and private donations and State and Federal grants administered through the office of the Office of Crime Victim Advocacy (OCVA), Department of Commerce in Olympia.
