Hillcrest and Thomas Jefferson - Dallas ISD High Schools

At Hillcrest, 9924 Hillcrest Road,, we are ordinary people doing extraordinary things. For more than 75 years, we have maintained a strong tradition of academic excellence and school pride. The school opened in 1938 as Vickery Meadows High School. In 1945 it was renamed to Hillcrest High School. Hillcrest High School is a public secondary school located in North Dallas, Texas. Hillcrest High School enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District. 460 of 1,550 current students need assistance in Algebra and English to graduate.

Thomas Jefferson High School (TJ$), located at 4001 Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas ISD, has served Northwest Dallas since the 1960s as a cornerstone of community education, known for its mid-century design. After sustaining heavy damage from an EF-3 tornado in October 2019, a new, modernized campus reopened in January 2023. Tutors are needed to help stusdents rise to the Masters Level of STAAR.
