The Literacy Initiative trains volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring to adults in reading, writing and English as a Second Language. Additional services include student skills assessments, prospective volunteer orientation, and volunteer tutor training. Community education programming is provided to heighten awareness of the adult literacy problem.
