    To establish and PRESERVE the full history of iron working on the Rutter iron site as well as its impact on the early colonial iron working industry, Pennsylvania and the United States, and to leverage the lessons of that history and LEGACY to our posterity.

    Sobre Nós

    A historical society that is tasked with restoring the first long running iron site in PA and the colonies. We research the story of iron and create curriculum for high school students and soon lower grades, to preserve the story of iron working as driven forward by Africans brought to America, women and key founder of what is now the great state of Pennsylvania.
