CENTRE FOR PUBLIC HEALTH

We are a non-governmental organization, not for profit , Centre for public health in Nigeria. We are also registered in the USA as Centre for public health initiative in, with 501(C)3  status, we also have special consultative status with the ECOSOC United Nations and associated with United Nations –Department of Global Communication (UN-DGC).

Our mission is to reduce the mortality rate in the developing countries  Nigeria through health educations, health promotions, medical missions, as an intervention with other service deliveries.

Currently in our “stop cervical cancer initiative”, we have reached about 8,000 women through community mobilizations, seminars, workshops, meetings, churches, radio programs, and our flyer distributions. They have been informed about the importance of cervical screening and the HPV vaccine as a preventive strategy towards eliminating cervical cancer. Hence the rising demand for the cervical screening and HPV vaccine.

Centre for Public Health is in the forefront for Universal Health Coverage, we are mobilizing the rural communities to join Community Based Social Health Insurance Program ( CBSHIP), refurbishing and equipping of primary health centers, training of the health workers, provision of clean water to the poor communities (WASH), Nutrition and food safety, building and renovation of schools, Women empowerment through skill acquisition among others

CPH long term plan is to establish a community radio to help in advocacy, health education and promotion.
