LISC helps nonprofit community development corporations (CDCs) transform distressed neighborhoods into healthy communities of choice and opportunity - good places to work, do business, and raise children. LISC mobilizes corporate, government, and philanthropic support to provide CDCs with:

- local, statewide and national policy support.
