Ahkun is an online marketplace that connects entrepreneurs who have taken out a microloan with the global market. Ahkun seeks to work directly with the producers and help develop and sustain their enterprises, going beyond microfinance, and maximizing benefit to both producers and consumers. Profits from Ahkun return to assist entrepreneurs in their respective communities.
Ahkun launched in 2010, and is working with 7 pilot projects in Cambodia, all involving microentrepreneurs who have received Kiva microloans.Ahkun is a non-profit social enterprise applying for 501c(3) status.
