iSmart Kenya: revolutionizing retail in urban slums
Through our branded door-to-door sales force, iSmart engages trained sales associates (youth ages 18-35) to sell products previously unavailable to poor consumers. These goods include fuel-efficient cook stoves, solar lamps and reusable sanitary pads - all of which improve the quality of life. We aim to be the go-to brand for value, quality, service and "smart" goods in slum communities. iSmart is a non-profit subsidiary of LivelyHoods, a US-based for-impact organization with the mission to create livelihoods for youth in urban slums. iSmart Kenya and LivelyHoods have been recognized wtih 8 awards and fellowships for social innovation and social entrepreneurship.
