In 2003, an urgent appeal was made to the government and environmental organizations from locals in El Progreso regarding the rapid disappearance of the turtle population. Our mission is to protect sea turtles and their ecosystem and to generate economic resources in the community of El Progreso. By promoting good practices, sustainable use of natural resources and responsible tourism.
