The Mentoring Partnership of Long Island promotes mentoring and economic empowerment - two strategies that connect committed adults with youth of promise - for the sole purpose of changing lives for the better. We serve as a resource and advocate for mentoring programs.
The Mentoring Partnership helps start, support and enrich over 200 mentoring programs across Long Island, serving nearly 5,500 children.
Through our Mentoring Academy, we train mentors and mentoring program coordinators to excel. Via the Mentoring Connection, we refer over 500 volunteers per year to mentoring programs and over 150 parents of youth who are looking for mentors.
Mentoring takes place in schools, faith-based organizations, youth agencies, county governments and businesses.
