Simply put, Kinera is a group of friends and family that lasts a lifetime. Kinera is a compound word: Kin and Era.

Kin - Someone or something of the same or similar kind.

Era - A date or an event forming the beginning of any distinctive period. WHY DO WE NEED KINERA? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? Kinera Foundation is here to offer support. No one knows what the future holds, and that's why Kinera is here. We want parents to know that Kinera is a safe place and that we are here for the long haul. Regardless of the stage of diagnosis, regardless of the child's age, Kinera will provide the support parents, caregivers and families so desperately desire. We will strive to provide assistance to families in our community, encourage continued education and resources for our neighbors, and promote an inclusive environment for those with special needs.
