Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania (FSA NEPA) is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that has served the needs of children, individuals and families since our founding in 1895. FSA NEPA’s major program areas are Professional Counseling for individuals, couples and families; Help Line/211, a 24 hour a day, seven day a week information, referral crisis intervention service; the High-Risk Youth Offender Reentry & Family Strengthening Initiative, that works to support youth, adjudicated delinquent, and their families become successful in their school and community; the Guardianship Program which provides ethical substitute decision making for incapacitated adults; the Intensive Family Reunification project which works intensively with parents to help them master the skills they need to have their children returned from foster care; Community Education & Outreach which provides in-home and in-community prevention through skills building for children and families; Parent Child Home Program provides modeling for 'parent as first teacher' for families of 2 and 3 years old to promote school readiness.
