The Plains Community League (TPCL) is currently an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 1951 whose mission and vision is "neighbors helping neighbors" to build a connected community, and to provide free, local community services. All of TPCL's operations, programs, and events are based from the John Page Turner Community House, owned and managed by TPCL, in the center of town. TPCL serves a large - and growing - workforce family community in the greater The Plains, Marshall, and Middleburg region. To date, the principle free community services TPCL provides, and events it sponsors, are: tutoring for students in The Plains and Marshall communities (Tuesday & Thursdays, 3:45-6pm, Sept. - June), Thanksgiving baskets to families in need (November), Christmas party (December), Scholarships for local students going to college (January), Easter party (April), Little Free Library (year-round). TPCL also provides space for activities by other groups for meetings, yoga, meditation, art classes, home schooling. t
