Live Pura Vida

Pura Vida Youth's mission is to provide youth of all ages with culturally relevant learning opportunities that inspire a love for education, a passion for discovery, and a respect and appreciation for self and community.

We provide before-, during-, and after-school STEAM programs to students in the Fort Worth Independent School District to ignite a love for learning and prepare students for careers, college, and job training programs.

Our STEAM classes include Robotics, Engineering, Drone Technology, Architecture/Construction, Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare. Each class block is offered at a partner school by a staff member and a teaching Fellow from our Seed2Legacy mentorship program. This adds an extra layer to the program by giving high school and college students a chance to share their knowledge while developing leadership skills.

We also bring culturally infused programming to students through Cooking/Plating and Afro-Latin Dance classes. All of our programs value and celebrate cultural diversity by encouraging students to embrace their unique heritage and background while showing respect for others. They promote awareness, appreciation, and dialogue around how cultural diversity makes communities stronger.
